Genesis Energy was established in March 2005 as a public unlisted entity. The company raised initial funds from the public sector and invested the funds according to the company mandate, in productive Oil and Gas assets (leases) in the United States.
The company was restructured from a public unlisted entity to a Proprietary Limited company in October 2007.
The company’s charter is to acquire profitable Oil and Gas production leases in the United States, to further develop those leases so as to increase the capital value of the leases. Some leases will then be resold to the market, while maintaining others. Exploration is an area the company is interested in, and will investigate at the appropriate time.
Genesis Energy’s mission is to develop a stable and profitable portfolio of energy interest, which will include traditional energies such as Oil and Gas, but also non traditional sources such as wind, solar and bio fuels. These energy interests will be sourced from multiple countries and regions.
In achieving this mission Genesis Energy will provide a steady and above average return to its financial partners and investors, while also contributing back to the community via various philanthropic activities.
