Genesis Energy as
established
in March 2005 as a public unlisted entity.
The
company raised initial funds from the public sector
and
invested the funds according to the company mandate,
in
productive Oil and Gas assets (leases) in the United
States. The
company was restructured from a public
unlisted
entity to a Proprietary Limited company in
October
2007.
The
company’s charter is to acquire profitable Oil and
Gas
production leases in the United States, to further
develop
those leases so as to increase the capital value
of
the leases. Some leases will then be resold to the
market,
while maintaining others. Exploration is an area
the
company is interested in, and will investigate at
the
appropriate time.
Genesis Energy’s mission is to develop a
stable
and profitable portfolio of energy interest,
which
will include traditional energies such as Oil and
Gas,
but also non traditional sources such as wind,
solar
and bio fuels. These energy interests will be
sourced
from multiple countries and regions. In achieving this
mission Genesis Energy
will
provide a steady and above average return to its
financial
partners and investors, while also
contributing
back to the community via various
philanthropic
activities.
SENIOR MANAGEMENT
Marco
Bragagnolo
- CEO Marco is the Chief
Executive
Officer and is responsible for managing
its
day-to-day activities. He has gained extensive
knowledge
and experience in the oil and gas sector
in
the USA over the last 10 years. Prior to
Genesis,
Marco began his career in the IT industry
and
has over 14 years of experience in the area of
data
communications networks, engineering, and
design,
implementation and trouble shooting of
networks.
Marco’s experience brings the benefit of
being
involved in starting and developing
businesses
in varying markets over the years, such
as
in the areas of IT, stock markets, funds
management,
property, franchising, training and of
course
the oil and gas sector. Marco’s main
attributes
are lateral thinking, having the
knowledge,
discipline and experience in the
implementation
of ideas and concepts, risk
management,
corporate governance, design and
management
of internal systems. Marco has been the
Managing
Director of Genesis since the company’s
inception
and is a founding
member.
Mr Joe Vick (President, Brazos Energy LLC)
Joe’s involvement in
the oil and gas industry spans
over
23 years in the geographical areas of Texas, New
Mexico,
Arizona and Utah. Joe has focused on achieving
low-risk/high
yield returns by focusing on acquiring
properties
with established reserves Identifying and
acquiring
shut-in or under-producing properties and
utilizing
the expertise and production enhancing
technologies
to increase production exploring only those
basins
providing the greatest reward vs. risk potential
Joe’s
has strong relationship with oil and gas business
professionals
ranging from field landmen, pumpers,
geologists,
petroleum engineers, operators and other
specialised
areas. Joe has a Bachelor of Science degree
from
McMurry University, Abilene, Texas.
