History
Belle Exploration discovered the Northwest Rogers Field in July of 2002. The field produces from a shallow cockfield Sand between 1,430’ and 1,460’. The Boot Hill Field was also discovered by Belle, but was found earlier in 2001. Rogers Field, an adjacent field to the Northwest Rogers field and found just southeast of the existing production, has been producing since the 1950’s. Hunt Oil Company has been active in this area since the 1940’s and have been in some sands for 30 to 40 years. Belle acquired its interests in the Northwest Rogers Field through acquisition of new leases. Starting in July 2002, Belle drilled and completed its first well, the Northwest Rogers No.1. Belle has drilled thirteen subsequent wells, five of which are producers. All wells were drilled on the basis of subsurface data.
